Less-belated chili post

We made it to Chapel Hill, fueled by only one restaurant meal. But we made it count.

A Belated Post About Columbus

So, there's this venue in Columbus called the Treehouse, and it's got an actual tree in it. That tree is surprisingly difficult to find a picture of on the internet, but here's one that kinda does it justice.

Anyway, we played there a month-and-a-half ago with this band Super Desserts. You should listen to the song "Funeral". I guess he really did make out with his cousin. Good for you, man.

While I was out

I am really really sorry to anyone who's checked this blog in the last eight months or so and not found too much new material. I've been up in the Alps doing high altitude training as a quarterback.

Healthy Montana

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
In addition to being a great place to stop for lunch when driving across the entire state of Montana in one day, the Bozeman Community Food Co-op did an excellent job nabbing the URL http://www.bozo.coop. Thanks for the sandwich, Betsy!

These guys are not funny

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It's not that driving from, say, Chicago to Omaha is THAT bad. It's just that, can't the radio be a LITTLE better? Today we had the unfortunate experience of listening to THESE guys, Don and Mike, for awhile.

Julia summed their terrible show up best: "Don and Mike. Two unfunny assholes. No format."

Gator-proof

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Thank you, Gainesville, for all your excellent nature and gator advice. As I promised that one guy (you know who you are), I got up this morning and borrowed a bicycle and rode down to Boulware (sp.?) Park. Normally, I would have been terrified of a gator attack, but armed with my new knowledge about running away from them in a zig-zag pattern, I looked for the gators I never found without fear!
